Our Center
All computers are loaded with up-to-date software and are connected to printers and other devices through a secure, high-speed network managed by the resource center.
The Technical Resource Center is equipped with both Windows and Mac computers. A Chromebook has been acquired recently. Several laptops are available and may be checked out for short periods of time.
The Microsoft Office suite, which includes the popular Word word processing program, is installed on Windows computers. Macs offer
the Apple package of office software.
Both color and black and white printers are available and files can be printed from computers or flash drives. Inexpensive flash drives are kept on hand for sale to residents.
A new, large screen TV and sound equipment have been acquired for Zoom and in-house video training programs. Several devices are configured for use by the visually impaired.
Most of the equipment in our technology center was purchased with grants provided by the Leisure World Foundation.
Leisure World Tech, Inc., is chartered as an organization that serves the Leisure World of Maryland community.
